I watch this film all year round but as the name suggests it actually is a holiday movie. Jude Law, Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz and Jack Black all together in one, perfect, romantic, snowy, house-swapping genius of a movie.

2. White Christmas
This 1954 classic is complete with musical numbers, misunderstandings and dancers. Romance is truly in the air and if you have a chance than catch the film. I'm dreaming of a white Christmas and this film is one more step to towards feeling brilliantly festive this season.

3. While You Were Sleeping

This film is set in the Winter, a woman (Sandra Bullock) who works at the train station oversees a man (someone she believes she loves) fall onto the tracks. In the hospital a nurse overhears her say "I was going to marry that man" and mistakenly believes they were engaged. This, as you can imagine, leads to a lot of problems - especially since the guy is in a coma and can't say otherwise.

Such as sweet movie. This film has a humorous, smart, storyline.  It has the perfect elements of a crisis that has to be sorted in a limited amount of time - it involves travelling to Cuba, elves, and a boy called Arthur who has to deliver a parcel to Gwen Hines before Christmas is over.

5. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

The Grinch decides to steal all the presents, all the remnants of Christmas from the town Whoville, meanwhile Cindy Lou realises that too many Whos have become too focussed on gifts and material goods. Can Cindy Lou make the Whos and the Grinch see the true meaning of Christmas
