What To/Not To 10/05/16

By 20:24

This week:
What To - 'Career of Evil' by J.K Rowling, whilst out shopping for a good new book I picked up this book which is the third in the Cormoran Strike series. This one I have to say is a bit more gritty than the previous two but it is such a page turner. Interspersed within the main story is the dialogue of the unknown villain who spies on Robin Ellacott, Strike's assistant. This is definitely worth a read if you get a chance.

Not To - my anti-recommendation is 'Angie Tribeca' which is being shown on Thursday evenings on E4. This programme stars the wonderful Rashida Jones who is incredible in 'Parks and Recreation' and 'Cuban Fury' the britcom (which also stars Chris O'Dowd and Nick Frost). I have to say that despite the appeal this show might have to American audiences, it was truly dire and I couldn't even watch the whole programme. The humour was appalling and it was strangely slapstick. All the best luck though to Rashida Jones who is a brilliant actress, hopefully she'll get on a better show next time.

Have you seen Angie Tribeca? What did you think of it? Have you read 'Career of Evil'?
I'd love to know what you thought of this week's recommendations.

Have a wonderful week,
The Clumsy Wordshaker
